Here we are! Back at this time of year, where we can reflect on this past year. I think the best word to describe my 2023 year is “adapting.” There were many situations where I had to adapt to changes, but that helped me grow into a stronger person. Here’s a little rundown of 2023.
January Through April
January
I started my year by writing out some goals and resolutions. My creative goals for 2023 include uploading at least one blog post each month, self-publishing one book this year, and doing a seasonal photoshoot. Three personal goals I have for 2023 are maintaining a work-life balance, exercising more, and drinking more water. I tried… 😅 I was able to upload at least one blog post each month (yay!) and have done a few photoshoots this year! In terms of personal goals, I have done better at keeping boundaries with school work and personal life and drinking more water! I need to work on exercising some more LOL.
February
In February, I turned 24! Finally in my mid-20s (AHH!!!)😲. Something about 24 feels different… here’s to growing older LOL 🥂
For Valentine’s this year, I decided to write myself some love letters (gotta show love for yourself!). I needed to say and hear some nice words ❤️
March
Back to celebrate International Women’s Day, I asked some amazing women in my life about some advice they would give to other women. They came through with some insightful pieces of advice. Hopefully, they help you out! Again, thank you to the wonderful women who contributed to this blog post! ❤️
April
Here we are in the springtime! I got to take beautiful grad photos of Elissa on campus. We got to take in the last bit of the blooming cherry blossoms on the campus! Take a look at her gorgeous grad photos here.
May Through August
May
I had the privilege (well, he didn’t really have a choice LMAO😅) to take my brother’s grad photos! The cherry blossoms were long gone by this point, but we were able to walk around the campus instead. Click here to see Paul’s grad photos.
June
Back in May, some of my friends and I went on our second Girls’ Trip (WOO-HOO!!!🎉) to New York! To watch the highlight video, click here (make sure to watch until the end for a little surprise!🤣).
July
In June, my classmates and I got to surprise and celebrate Jo (our sweet classmate) with a spectacular baby shower! I’m so thankful I got to capture such a beautiful mama-to-be and celebration!
We can’t forget the iconic pink theme that took over the world! Give that marketing team a raise because I’ve been extra obsessed with pink because of Barbie! I took this opportunity to become my own Barbie and even brought out all of my own accessories with my everyday “glam” tools, old cellphone, and red point-and-shoot camera.
August
This school semester, I started my second year in the school psychology program! Here is a little helpful blog post for the first years entering the program.
September Through December
September
As I mentioned before, this year is my second year in the school psychology grad program. As a cohort, we wanted to share some helpful tips for the first years entering into the program. Here’s our word of wisdom for the new students.
October
Ten years ago, I started pursuing photography (phew, 10 years go by so fast!). 📷 I talk about my journey starting from high school, going into college, and beyond! I can’t wait for the next 10 years (and more!).
November
Here I am doing my due diligence to let you know that the first full week of November is National School Psychology Week! Make sure to celebrate the school psychologists in your life.
December
December has been a busy month with school/personal life. I didn’t get to do the Christmas photoshoot that I planned (now I have one for next year!), but here’s last year’s photoshoot. Click here to take a look.
Thank you so much for being a part of my 2023! Happy New Year! Here’s to another year!
XOXO
