AHHH!!! We’re here… I’ve finally hit the big 2-5! 25…How crazy is that?! I’ve hit that quarter life point! I’ve gotten to thinking about the past 25 years and the experiences that shaped me. I have also thought about my birthday wishes for 25 and what that looks like moving forward. I also got to look through some of my old (young?) photos of myself. There’s a lot of things that are different about me, but also lots of things that are still the same. These are some core values that have been instilled in me for many years. Come stroll down memory lane with me.
Jesus Girlie

Something that has been instilled in me at a very young age is my faith in Jesus. It’s definitely something that has sustained me and given me life (thank you, God!). The first picture represents Jesus dying on the cross for our sins. Three days later, Jesus rose from the dead and we are now alive in Christ! ❤️ The second photo has a “JESUS” acronym poem that my mom made many many years ago.
Family Girl

In the psychology world, having a good support system is a protective factor. Thankfully, I have family to lean on. Additionally, I have made lots of friends along the way who are basically family! 🩷
Smiley Baby

In elementary school, there was a lunch lady who would say “hi” to me and always said that she liked my smile. P.S. This was BEFORE I got braces LOL. Although my teeth were not the prettiest at the time (I have a love-hate relationship with my braces era LMAO), smiling brightens up my face. There’s also a study that says when we smile, there are signals that go to the brain that make us happier. 😁
Foodie

Once a foodie, always a foodie. Need I say more? In high school, I would say that my “hobbies” were sleeping and eating food 😅 It hasn’t changed much since then LOL.
Creative Hobbyist

After this past quarter life, I want to continue to grow in my creative skills. I want to be able to explore and try new hobbies as well. Over the years, I’ve done guitar, photography, coloring, and blogging. Photography and blogging is something I want to continue. I also want to self-publish again and try my hand at illustrating. We’ll see how it goes!
[…] As I wrap up my 26th birthday, I realize more than ever that celebrating doesn’t have to be big or extravagant to be meaningful. It’s about being present, embracing the little joys, and surrounding yourself with people who make life brighter. I hope this inspires you to celebrate in a way that feels special to you. 🎈 How do you like to celebrate your birthday? Do you go all out, or do you prefer something more low-key? Let’s chat in the comments! ⬇️✨And take a look at last year’s blog post here. […]
