Travel Diary: A Delightful Trip to Delaware 2024

Hello, hello 👋I’m back with another travel diary! My friend Jennifer and I went up to Delaware to check out Rehoboth Beach. It was a super quick and fun trip and I can’t wait to share it with you!!!

Wednesday, July 17, 2024 – Welcome to Delaware

Starting off strong, we began our road trip up to Delaware. Once we got to our destination we checked in and went over to the beach. We spent the whole time laying out on Rehoboth Beach. We planned on going to a bonfire in Dewey Beach, but it got cancelled because of a forecasted storm… As a result, we walked around the boardwalk. For dinner, we went over to Cilantro Cocina de Mexico. We got chips and salsa as a courtesy. For the drink and entree, I got the Rehoboth Beach Paradise and a Chuletas Al Chipotle. Afterwards, we walked around the beach for a bit.

Thursday, July 18, 2024 – Beach Babes

To start off the day, we had brunch at Sammy’s Kitchen. While at Sammy’s Kitchen, I got some orange juice and a French Toast Combo. It was pretty good!

For the rest of the day, I laid out on the beach again. I made some progress in the book I was reading and took a nap. The naps on the beach just hit different! ❤️ It’s the best!!! (also the book that I’m re-reading is “Love and Gelato”). Then I went into the water, which was refreshing.

Later, I was feeling Italian for dinner, so we went over to Dalmata Italiano. The place is super cute and they had four screens playing different Disney movies. For appetizers, we were recommended the Cheezy Garlic Bread with Spicy Alfredo sauce. The cheezy pull was spectacular! ❤️ The garlic bread might actually be the highlight of the trip LOL. It’s that good! After that, the rest of my meal was the Cacio E Pepe and a Giggle Juice drink. All still really good food! Later that night, we walked around the boardwalk and on the cool beach.

Friday, July 19, 2024 – Delaware Fair

To kick off our last day in Delaware, we stopped by Rise Up Coffee for breakfast. I got the Coffee Smoothie (apparently this is the “home of the Coffee Smoothie”) and the Breakfast Burrito Bowl… The coffee smoothie was great, but the breakfast burrito bowl was not it.

Anyway, we road-tripped over to the Delaware State Fair. There were some booths right out front, so we went around, made our rounds, and got some freebies. We also saw a truck blind-spot demonstration which was really cool to see. We went on some rides (however, I felt sick so I took a break. If anybody knows a good remedy for avoiding motion sickness, please please please let me know!). Can’t go wrong with a carousel ride! With that said, we came to a conclusion with our quick Delaware trip.
