My Useful, Everyday Bag As A School Psych Intern 2024

intern

Hello there! I have entered into my intern era~ This is a nice little step into becoming a school psychologist. I will be at my own elementary school (3-4 times a week), a middle school (with my supervisor once a week), and a high school (later on in the school year). Here are some things that I bring around with me to all the different schools.

Laptop 💻

This is a must-have in the office! The county I am interning in provided us with a laptop, so I’ve been bringing that around. An external monitor display is a bonus that I love having in the office!

Clipboard Folio (Padfolio) 📋

A big shoutout and thank you to my second-year, school practicum, supervisor for this super cute clipboard folio! Throughout my time at the school, I requested to use a clipboard and she had her handy dandy folio. Then she surprised me at the end of the year with my very own! As an intern, I will definitely be utilizing it during meetings, observations, and assessments.

Planner 📝

This is mostly for personal use. A lot of my meetings are utilized via online calendars. However, the paper planner helps me keep track of where I need to be (the joys of juggling multiple schools) and document my to-do list. It keeps me put together and helps me remember what I need to get done for the day.

Folder 📁

Perfect for the miscellaneous paperwork. I sometimes keep extra stickers in here for funsies.

Water Bottle💧

Stay hydrated everyone! I’ve had this water bottle for a few years now and it has not failed me!
