How to Have the Best Beach Day This Summer

Beach Day Packing Essentials List

These are the essential, fun-in-the-sun items that you absolutely need while you are at the beach.

• Sunscreen: Make sure to get some SPF for your skin (face and body!).
• Towel
• Bathing Suit
• Change of Clothes: Get your summer fashion on!
• Sunglasses
• Umbrella/Tent/Blanket: This is nice if you don’t want to be in direct sunlight.
• Food and Drinks/Cooler/Ice: If you’re bringing food and drinks, make sure to store them in a cooler!
  • *One pro tip for packing the cooler: FREEZE Gatorade drinks and add them to the cooler to act as ice packs and a cold drink*
• Speakers/Earbuds

Here are some activity ideas for you to enjoy your time at the beach with friends, family, and loved ones!

• Swim in the Ocean
• Nap in the Sun and Sand: Honestly, naps on the beach are probably the most relaxing naps I’ve ever had!
• Build Sandcastles
• Bonfire and Picnic
• Photoshoot: the golden hour/sunset photos are absolutely stunning!!! (take a look at some California beach photos here)
• Volleyball: You can’t go wrong with a classic game of volleyball on the sand!
• Journal: There’s something so therapeutic about being by the beach, so journaling is a great way to decompress.
• Reading: Another way to de-stress is reading, so grab your book and chill by the ocean. “Love and Gelato” by Jenna Evans Welch is a fun, summery book recommendation.
