Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! To get into the Christmassy spirit, I decided to play around with a makeshift, in-home studio photoshoot.
“Merry Elfin Christmas” Video
I started off by creating a little makeshift studio. First, I put down the white plastic tablecloth as my background. Then, I brought all the materials for the flatlay photoshoot. I made a little ASMR video of wrapping presents hehe. A little Elf in the making. 😂 Wrapping gifts isn’t super easy for me, but I tried my best LOL. A for effort, right? (Bonus points for doing things one-handed! I don’t have a tripod for my phone, so I had to get creative on filming with one hand 🙃).
During the photoshoot, I had a little “Behind-the-Scenes” video going on as well. While I was editing, I was listening to some Christmas music in the background. James Maslow’s “Christmas Beautiful” was on and it seemed like the perfect song to add to the video! I was still trying to figure out what song I wanted in the background, but it worked out super nicely!
“Merry Elfin Christmas” Photoshoot
After the ASMR video, I started playing around with the set ideas. Like I said before, there was a “Behind-the-Scenes” cam filming during the photoshoot. I also wrapped one of my Secret Santa presents and added that into the mix. (Again, not super great at wrapping presents, but that’s okay! It’s the thought that counts!). I incorporated the Christmas lights and a reflective prism to add some pizzaz to the photos.
