Wow, was it just me, or was 2025 just a blink of an eye??? We’re already here at the 2025 recap blog post. Just like last year, I want to bring back the “roses (highs) and thorns (lows)” idea. Take a look at what 2025 had in store.
Roses (Highs) of 2025

DJI Osmo Pocket 3
This year, I wanted to document my life a little more, so I got the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 camera and began my little vlogging journey. It’s been fun going back to the videos from earlier in the year and re-live life.
Graduating from Grad School!!!
I have officially graduated from grad school this year! It was a long time coming, and we finished (WOO-HOO!!!). I’ve definitely learned a lot and am just glad to be done with it, honestly. I now have my Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in School Psychology! In addition to the Ed.S. degree, I have also earned my Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) license. YAY, more letters LOL. I am also officially a school psychologist and in a high school!
Thorns (Lows) of 2025

Changes
This is two-fold: changes come with lots of new opportunities to learn and grow… on the other hand, I’ve definitely felt the effects of having to be flexible, taking on new challenges, and the mental toll it takes. Going from an elementary school to a high school was definitely a surprise. The role is different, so I had to adjust to that. I’ve been telling myself that I am capable of doing the job, but I am also feeling worn out (two things can be true at once).
Creative Block
At the start of this year, I had a lot of motivation and ideas to create more and complete lots of projects. But I think I felt some creative block or burnout, which kinda “stunted” my progress for this year. So some of the creative goals I had this year didn’t get completed in the way that I imagined… I also felt that a lot towards the end of the year, once I started working full-time with a high school start time. I’m not much of a morning person, so I felt tired and exhausted a lot.

Photo Projects and Sessions
Super thankful for all the moments I got to photograph this year! From portraits to the tulip farm, graduation, family moments, and even a proposal/engagement, I am grateful for it all! On another note, I got to photograph some school events (i.e. dance performance at my elementary school, basketball game at my high school), which was a fun way to do something a little different. I also worked on some photos that are business-related (i.e., YouTube banner, shop pictures).
YouTube Vlogs
One thing I wanted to do this year was document life a lot more. Reliving moments through video was super fun. I’m still learning and figuring out content ideas, but editing them has been fun. Can’t wait to create more! Take a look at my first video of 2025.
