This school year (2025-2026) is my first year as a school psychologist! The transition from being an intern to a first year school psychologist hasn’t been too bad. I’m in the same school district where I did my internship, so I have been able to adjust well. Anyway, this is what my everyday bag looks like as a first year school psychologist.

Office Supplies

So, I have some office supplies (pens, highlighters, a planner, etc.) in my bag, just in case I need anything. Yes, my office has all the things that I will need, but whenever I’m on the go (i.e., going to other schools), I have all that I need. I also have a folder and a clipboard for papers/documents, or if I need to take notes during observations.
Everyday Essentials

This is pretty self-explanatory, but my everyday essentials are ~essential~ to keep. These include my wallet, keys, lip gloss, hair ties, sunglasses, school ID, etc. You’ll see these things in my regular, everyday bag as well.
